Director

Sarah has over 10 years of experience working with children and families in the education and child welfare field as a teacher, home visitor, and parent educator. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a focus in Human Development. Sarah is trained in forensic interviewing through the Prosecuting Attorney’s Association of Michigan. She is passionate about the impact the Child Advocacy Center has on the community. Sarah is also the founder of Canines for Comfort, a 501(c)(3) non-profit assistance dog program that serves the center. Sarah enjoys caring for, handling, and training the canines.


mdt Coordinator

Veronica is a graduate from Bay College with an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Studies with a focus in Criminal Justice. She has experience in advocacy through the prosecutor’s office and is a vital resource for children and families served by the CAC. Veronica also has professional experience working with dogs and handles Blue during advocacy at the center. She is also the MDT Coordinator, through this role she ensures that every case is handled with care.


Therapist

Anne came out of retirement to work at the Delta Regional Child Advocacy Center. She is passionate about guiding children, teens, and their families through the healing journey after they’ve experienced trauma. In her “first career” she worked for year as a school social worker. She’s holds her Masters in Social Work and is certified in Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Anne also has a passion for providing healing through group and play therapy.


Forensic Interviewer

Hannah has an Associates in Liberal Arts and Associate in Arts in Criminal Justice both from Bay de Noc Community College. Hannah has obtained her Bachelor of Criminal Justice from Lake Superior State University. Hannah is trained in forensic interviewing through the Prosecuting Attorney's Association of Michigan. Hannah's hope is that she can provide a safe environment for children who utilize the Delta Child Advocacy Center. 


Family Advocate

Wendy holds an Associate of Arts degree from Bay De Noc Community College and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Northern Michigan University. With over 20 years of dedicated service in the field, Wendy has truly made a difference in the lives of children and families.

Her expertise extends to collaborating with the court system and local service providers, ensuring the well-being and security of children. Wendy worked to safeguard children and keep them in nurturing environments with their caregivers. She possesses a Limited Social Work License and has a wealth of experience in areas such as the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA), foster care licensing, and conducting home studies.

Wendy's true passion lies in supporting children and families, guiding them through the challenges and concerns related to child safety.
